Platelet Rich Plasma is used for rejuvenation, for healing purposes, and for stimulating growth factors that help in the repair process and for collagen production. Many people are aware of the benefit of PRP in beauty and wellness when it comes to hair restoration and targeting fine lines and wrinkles, but PRP can also be used “down there” to help improve function to those with or without erectile dysfunction and to boost your overall sex life.

How It Works?
Like a PRP treatment used for other aesthetic and therapeutic treatments, the procedure involves taking a blood sample from the body (usually the arm) and putting it into a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. Once the PRP is separated it will be injected directly into the penile shaft. PRP is injected into the spongy tissue of the penis to give it growth factors that stimulate improved function, better blood flow, and regeneration, resulting in bigger, stronger, and more vibrant erections and better orgasms.

Prior to injecting, the area will be numbed for about 15-20 minutes to reduce discomfort. Most patients find the treatment very tolerable with minimal to no pain.

Since there is an excess of PRP leftover from the treatment, we highly recommend using this PRP for hair restoration or pairing it with a micro-needling or laser treatments. This can be discussed in your initial consultation so we can plan your appointment appropriately.

Side effects of Hard Shot include bruising and swelling at the injection sites, which should subside in a few days. We recommend that patients wait 24 hours before having sex or masturbating because of the swelling. Dr. Hemsworth performs every Hard Shot Treatment in our clinic.

Packages of 3 are recommended for initial treatment.
After the first series has been completed, maintenance may be required between 6-9 months.
